my name is Lance de Ruig and I will be your new English teacher.
I am 32 years old and have a wife and 2 small children and I have recently moved to Montpellier.
I have heard some wonderful things about you and your desire to learn English, I trust that our times together can continue to feed this desire you have to learn more.
For our first lesson together I just want to get to know you a bit better, and for you to get to know me. We will then see how far you have come in the last few lessons and what you would still like to learn.
Please feel free to stop and ask questions at any time and to interrupt and tell me to speak slower if I am speaking too quickly.
What we will do as a relaxed first lesson is that I have prepared a number of questions for us to ask each other and you can answer freely. If you don't know any of the words please ask. Also, and most importantly, please tell me if you feel uncomfortable with a question. The purpose of this exercise is for us to get to know each other and for me to see how comfortable you are with speaking English.
